Barbershop Tag Writing
Saturday June 13, 2026 11:00am - 12:00pm PDT
Become a tag writer!!!
Come learn the basics for barbershop tag writing. We’ll start with a 4-measure tag melody and lyric which you can download and print after you register. Please bring your ideas for the tag to class where we’ll find the chords to create the 4-part harmony of barbershop and add some embellishment. Then we’ll try out our creations by comparing them to barbershop tag writing guidelines, listening, and singing.

Music Software - Q&A
Saturday June 13, 2026 1:15pm - 2:15pm PDT
Mike has for years been preparing arrangements using Finale for publication through BHS. Now that Finale is no longer able to upgraded, Mike has been working again with BHS to evaluate other solutions for preparing arrangements for publication.
This weekend, Mike will be focusing on MuseScore (which is FREE), but he's more than willing to answer questions on Finale, Dorico, SmartScore, and MuseScore.

You can download MuseScore at: https://musescore.org/en
