MUSESCORE 1 — Getting Notes on the Page
🎯 Goal:   “I can create a score and enter a clean melody.”
 
This class will cover the basics:
  • Single staff template
    New score>>General >> treble clef to get a single line
  • Change to continuous view
  • Setting up a MuseScore document
    • save file with a title
    • number measures
    • change key and time signatures
    • pickup measure (how to do)
    • show how to delete measures --
  • Entering tenor notes
  • Note entry basics:
    • Notes and Rests
    • Ties and slurs
    • Accidentals

MUSESCORE 2 — From Melody to Barbershop 
🎯 Goal:  “I can turn a melody into a 4-part barbershop score.”

This class will cover
  • Using a 4-staff score 
    • Make changes as needed for key, time, clefs, etc
    • Enter tenor, copy to other staves
    • Copying notes into another staff
  • Repitch Tool
    • Looking for differences in the durations and editing (triplets)
    • Applying repitch tool
  • Hearing and Exporting Learning Tracks
    • Using the Mixer

Hear 4 parts together and be able to export something to send to a singer.
