About me
I've always loved performing, especially for the strong connections I feel with with the audience, my fellow performers and myself. I love to have conversations about topics that light people up and let their inner light shine through. We all have incredibly powerful and diverse experiences we carry with us, and I believe tapping into that wisdom brings a sense of peace, belonging and stronger community ties.
I studied theater for a few years before ultimately switching to teaching. Since then, I've enjoyed teaching theater classes for student in elementary through high school, taking workshops with established local actors and performing in community theater productions.
I only had a brief brush with barbershop in high school when I sang with a quartet for a state competition once. It wasn't until about 20 years later that I discovered the incredible impact these beautiful arrangements have when sung with an intentional, artistic group of people. I was instantly hooked and feel quite like a "barber-vangelist" now, sharing the good word about the life-changing force of four-part harmony (and probably a tag or two) with any sympathetic ears.
