About me
Bob Cox
Bob started his barbershop career in high school on a dare from a teacher with three close friends and high school choir members, over 60 years ago. With over 50 years of Society membership, Bob has served in key leadership positions at the Chapter, District and Society level. He is currently President of the Salem Oregon Chapter, in addition to serving as a Division VP in the Evergreen District. As a BHS Ambassador, he serves as a key liaison assisting the BHS CEO, and Society President to District leadership in helping deliver their messages and future dreams while serving as a listening and sounding board to the concerns expressed by our members. He has facilitated leadership training classes all over the Society, supporting the Society’s Leadership Academy and Operations Training Teams for over 40 years. While serving in the military, he was a senior instructor for the US Air Force, Army, and National Guard in marketing, public relations, and recruiting and retention with over 22 years of combined service in the Air Force, Army, and the National Guard.

Even though this session is titled RECRUITING & SUPPORTING NEXT GEN SINGERS, this session will not cover “recruiting”; however, it will give you ideas on how to set up programs and concepts to reach Next/Gen Singers and “PLANT SEEDS” for their future involvement in our Society.
